Probably there is a bad contact somewhere on the motherboard. I tested with multimedia projector, the line is not in the project display. The taskbar is now also twice the height, however the bottom portion is unusable. I tried to change the brightness with Alt F7, F8, but in any case the screen is very difficult to look at… Any suggestion?

I have a Toshiba p35 laptop and one day when i started it up vsio sony vaio pcg 5b1l screen which has a black backround was red i bent my laptop a little and it fixed the problem but when i let go it goes back.

Is there any way of replacing the chip without the whole motherboard? Can the lid over mine is copper be removed without taking the LCD out? However 5b1p external monitor display is still fine.
